Snapdeal Parent AceVector Secures ₹189 Crore in Pre-IPO Round Led by Negen, Singularity AceVector Limited, the holding company for e-commerce firm Snapdeal, has success...
AceVector Limited, the holding company for e-commerce firm Snapdeal, has successfully raised ₹189.28 crore (approximately $22.7 million) in a pre-IPO anchor investment round. The move strongly indicates the company is restarting its journey toward an initial public offering, which had been previously postponed due to unfavorable market conditions.
The company's board approved the allotment of 14.56 million equity shares at an issue price of ₹130 per share to finalize the funding. The round saw participation from eleven investors, with Negen Undiscovered Value Fund leading the investment with a ₹50 crore infusion. Singularity Growth Opportunities Fund, led by veteran investor Madhu Kela, also made a significant commitment of ₹25 crore. Other participants included Kent, Kofuku, and Agnus.
A key asset within the AceVector portfolio is its profitable e-commerce SaaS subsidiary, Unicommerce. This unit is already proceeding with its own public market debut, having filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator. The Unicommerce IPO will be an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 29.84 million shares, with Snapdeal and SoftBank being its largest shareholders. Unicommerce has demonstrated strong financial health, posting a profit of ₹20.3 crore on revenues of ₹90 crore for the nine months ending December 2023.
This successful anchor round for AceVector serves as a positive signal for India's tech sector, potentially encouraging other companies that had delayed their IPOs to re-evaluate market sentiment. The capital injection strengthens AceVector’s financial position as it prepares for its own listing. The performance of the Unicommerce IPO will be closely watched as a potential bellwether for investor appetite for the parent company's offering. The dual-listing strategy for AceVector and its high-performing subsidiary appears designed to unlock maximum value for its shareholders.
