Yatharth Hospital Stock Hits Record High on Report of Advent Stake Acquisition Shares of Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services Ltd. climbed to a new record high on Tu...

Shares of Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services Ltd. climbed to a new record high on Tuesday, extending a two-day rally fueled by reports that global private equity major Advent International is in advanced negotiations to acquire a significant minority stake.
According to market sources, Advent International is considering an acquisition of a 25% stake from the hospital chain's promoter family. The transaction is estimated to be valued at approximately Rs 1,750 crore. Currently, Yatharth's promoters hold a 66.52% stake in the company, which operates four super-specialty hospitals in Delhi-NCR and Madhya Pradesh.
The news triggered a sharp investor response, sending the stock up as much as 10% to a record high of Rs 488.75 during intraday trading. This marks a 20% increase over the past two sessions alone. The hospital operator, which went public in August 2023, is now trading at a 63% premium over its initial public offering price of Rs 300 per share.
An investment from a marquee private equity firm like Advent would represent a significant validation of Yatharth's business strategy and growth potential. The potential deal also underscores the unabated interest of private equity investors in the Indian healthcare sector, where hospital chains with strong regional footprints are viewed as attractive assets for long-term growth.
This development has placed a spotlight on Yatharth Hospital, boosting its market valuation and investor sentiment. If the transaction proceeds, it could set a new benchmark for valuations in the mid-sized hospital space and potentially encourage further investment activity within the industry. However, the deal remains subject to final negotiations and regulatory approvals. A failure to materialize could lead to a market correction for the stock, which later traded around Rs 477.50, maintaining a strong gain.
